Energetic, Encouraging, Determined
Hi! I’m Angel! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Interdisciplinary Studies with a focus on Math and Science (grades 4-8) from Texas A&M University. Class of ’20, Gig ’em! I also hold an ESL supplemental certification, allowing me to support emergent bilingual students, and I have four years of classroom teaching experience. In addition to academics, I’m a certified Zumba instructor and an avid volleyball player.
I chose to coach with SAOTG because the organization’s mission and emphasis on executive functioning strongly align with what I witnessed firsthand in the classroom. I love connecting with students on a relatable level and encouraging them to become the best version of themselves, academically, socially, and emotionally. I strive to help students develop perseverance, self-awareness, and confidence, reminding them that with effort and determination, most anything is possible.
