Hi! I’m April! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Humanities from Trinity University and later completed a Master of Education in TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) at Grand Canyon University. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I’ve guided students from kindergarten through middle school, specializing in second and third grade as well as Middle School STEM. I love inspiring curiosity, helping students develop executive functioning skills, and empowering them to take ownership of their learning. I chose SAOTG because I’ve seen firsthand how critical strong organizational and time-management skills are for student success. Helping students realize they can control their own learning is incredibly rewarding.
