Hi! I’m Ashley! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of St. Thomas. I have experience as a preschool teacher, a full-time substitute and assistant teacher at a Montessori school, and a behavior therapist at an ABA clinic. I was also just accepted to Teach for America as a special education teacher in Houston for the 2023-2024 school year. I have worked as a behavior therapist for children with autism and I was an aide for a child with ADHD and several learning disabilities and developmental deficits. I am passionate about special education and executive functioning skills. I always encourage my students to never give up, it is okay to take a break or pivot or try something completely different. That is not a failure, that is a success.
