Hi! I’m Ashley! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology with a minor in Spanish and Latin Studies from Texas Christian University and my master’s in Education and Special Education from Sam Houston University. I am certified Early Childhood-6th grade, Special Education, and a registered Behavioral Technician. I believe that time management, critical thinking skills, and effective communication are life skills that are critical to student success. School is one of the primary environments in which students first practice these skills and prepare for life. I want students to realize that they’re only as limited as their thinking. If they believe they can, then they will! Their success may not be immediate, but with perseverance it will come. I also want students to learn to enjoy and appreciate the process as well as celebrate the small wins. It’s not about perfection, but progress!
