Hi! I’m Candace! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a bachelor’s degree in Biology with a concentration in Marine Science from Suffolk University. Currently I am pursuing a full stack coding certification through MIT.
I have had several years of experience working with students, including as a part-time educator at the Children’s Museum of Houston. Similarly, I was an educator at the New England Aquarium in Boston, where I worked closely with kids aged 8-13. I was also a camp counselor and a community programs coordinator. During my undergraduate studies, I also had the opportunity to intern for a semester at Boston Public Schools. I strive to be an approachable role model for all of my students. I always encourage my students to pursue their interests and hobbies even if they are not mainstream. By being comfortable with ourselves, people who want to be your friend and share similar passions will naturally gravitate towards you.
