Hi! I’m Carla! I am an Academic Coach at Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences with a minor Biomedical Engineering at UT, El Paso. I am currently working on my masters in Bioengineering at Rice University. I have worked as a tutor for over 4 years and have experience with neurodiverse profiles. I believe school is important because it fosters the ability for students & teachers to continue learning and growing as individuals. As a coach, we don’t ask for students to be perfect, but treat it as a way to learn and improve on an important skill set needed for academic success. The most important thing is that they find a passion for something and never let anyone take that from them! They are unique and they deserve every chance they get to make their own footprint in this world!
