Hi! I’m Garner! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I’m currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, where I’ve completed Calculus I-IV, Differential Equations, and several advanced engineering courses like Dynamics. I have a strong foundation in analytical problem-solving, systems thinking, and technical communication.
Before joining SAOTG, I interned at NASA’s Johnson Space Center in the Flight Operations Directorate, where I contributed to developing tools for flight operations, verified crew displays, supported robotics and training environments, and participated in simulations. I also have experience tutoring STEM subjects and coaching students on executive functioning, time-blocking, planning systems, and study strategies, to help them turn effort into consistent results.
I’m drawn to SAOTG because it treats executive function as a learnable skillset, not a personality trait. As an engineer, I see the power of systems, iteration, and measurement and I love helping students build personalized frameworks that make success automatic.
