Hi! I’m James! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC.I have my Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Richmond. I have my Texas Certificate to teach Math 7-12. I have taught in the classroom for 10 years as well as coached many sports. I believe that school is important because it teaches us to be self-sufficient while also being a part of something bigger than ourselves. It teaches us the importance of diligence and hard work by challenging us with harder and more complex concepts year after year. It is where we acclimate to being part of a community and hopefully find our place in it. School is a vital part of becoming the person that we are meant to be. The most important lessons I can teach my students are about perseverance and accountability. I enjoy watching my students discover their true potential by helping them overcome the obstacles and fears that keep them from becoming the person they were truly meant to be!
