Attentive, Patient, Engaging

Hi! I’m Julie! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in history and a concentration in secondary education from Louisiana State University. I currently have ten years of teaching experience, focusing on middle school history and math. I am also IB certified and Kagan certified. In my experience as a classroom teacher, I have seen a lot of students struggle with organization and life skills, and I believe that the Staying Ahead of the Game program can really benefit all students. As a coach, I enjoy working with students in a one-on-one setting to teach them important life skills and watch them succeed. I always share with the students that I work with that perseverance is very important. When things are difficult, or if you fail at something, it just means that you are learning and growing, so keep at it! Everything in life isn’t easy, but sometimes the things that are difficult are the things that are worth the most.
