Krissica H

Hi! I’m Krissica, though most people call me “Spoon”! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I hold a B.A. in Political Science from Henderson State University, an M.A. in College Student Development from St. Edward’s University, and I’m currently pursuing my Ph.D. at Texas State University.

Before joining SAOTG, I taught college-preparatory courses for high school students and served as an instructor at Texas State University, where I worked with the Bobcat RISE program supporting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities in academics, campus life, and independent living.

I chose to coach with Staying Ahead of the Game because this organization doesn’t just make promises, it delivers purpose. I love helping students turn “someday” into a plan and empowering them to build discipline, confidence, and self-belief one step at a time. Coaching allows me to help students see their potential and use it to create meaningful impact in their lives and communities.
