Hi! I’m LaKeytra, but you can call me Keytra! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my Bachelor of Business from the University of Houston-Downtown and my Master of Arts in School Counseling from Prairie View A&M University. I am a certified school counselor and teacher and am currently completing a Christian Counseling course.
I chose SAOTG because of its unique focus on executive functioning and the lifelong skills students can use in every area of their lives. What I love most about coaching is knowing that the skills students develop can positively impact them well beyond the classroom. I hope to teach students the importance of planning, asking for help, and recognizing that they are in control of their own choices.
