Hi! I’m Leo! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have my Bachelor’s degree of Visual Arts in Photography with a Minor in Graphic Design from SUNY University at Old Westbury. I also hold a Service Excellence Credential from Cornell University, further enhancing my commitment to high standards in professional and educational environments. My academic background supports a strong foundation in visual arts education, creative instruction, and executive functioning. Throughout the 8 years of my teaching career, I’ve worked with students who have diagnosed learning differences such as ADHD, dyslexia, and dysgraphia. In my roles at KIPP Freedom Middle School, Girls Prep Bronx, and currently at Idea Lake Houston College Prep, I’ve adapted lesson plans and instructional strategies to meet individual learning needs. I regularly incorporate visual aids, hands-on activities, and differentiated instruction to ensure all students can access the curriculum. I also maintain close communication with support staff and families to monitor progress and provide consistent support in both academic and creative environments.
