Hi! I’m Lia! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of North Texas (go Mean Green!) and am currently enrolled in an Alternative Certification Program to become a certified EC-6 teacher. I have experience teaching guitar, working as a substitute teacher with Fort Worth ISD, and teaching third grade, which has strengthened my passion for helping young learners grow academically and personally.
I chose to coach with SAOTG because I believe in teaching concrete, transferable skills that create a strong foundation for lifelong growth. What I love most about coaching is seeing how much a student grows over the course of a year-setting goals together, building a clear path forward, and celebrating how far they’ve come. I strive to help students build confidence and recognize that they can learn and succeed in anything they take on.
