Hi! I’m Madeline! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Students with a concentration in Special Education and a Master’s of Science in Education with a Concentration in Special Education General Curriculum from Kindergarten through 12th grade. I have 6 years of experience teaching in the classroom. I believe structured education is essential (regardless of the building). Children need to learn how to function with a schedule, to organize their time, and how to prioritize it. The content component of schools is important for obvious reasons, but, as a previous teacher, I feel some of the most important lessons that I taught were related to life and functioning skills. I love feeling like I’m making a difference in someone’s life; that I can do something so important as helping them become the best version of themselves. I hope I can help my students learn that each day is a chance to do better. We cannot change what has been done, but we can learn and grow to improve on what we do next.
