Hi! I’m MJ! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have an Associate of Science from Lone Star Community College. I am currently in my junior year at University of Houston studying Public Policy with a minor in Global Engagement and Research & Law, Values, & Policy. I am working towards being in the mayor’s office and eventually running for office one day! I volunteer with the Partnership of Advancement and Immersion of Refugees (PAIR) in Houston. In PAIR, I have worked with students of many ages and backgrounds. What I love most about coaching is seeing students develop lifelong skills that positively affect them in the future. I believe school is important because it allows students to learn about new ways of thinking and ways of life.
