Hi! I’m Nick! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Science at Texas A&M and Post-Baccalaureate certification at Baylor College of Medicine for Biomedical Sciences and Health Equity. I taught in the classroom for over a year in Korea. School provides you with the opportunity to learn not only from books, but from others as well. It isn’t a perfect system, but I think there are many opportunities to network and make friends, as well as develop critical-thinking skills that can be applicable in any field. I think my experience working with a variety of students has given me the confidence to recognize general rules of thumbs that have worked best, and from it I am able to build rapport with the student quickly. From there, I can gauge what will work best for the student!
