Enthusiastic, Encouraging, Determined
Hi! I’m Mica! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Spanish, Communication, and International Studies from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas. I also have a master’s in International Peace, Conflict, and Development studies from Universitat Jaume I in Castellón, Spain. I have had several years of experience in education. I got my teaching certificate in 2012 and I have worked in formal education ever since. I have taught reading, foreign language, and journalism to high school students for the past few years. I have also worked with elementary aged students during summer programs. I have always enjoyed working with students of any age and I hope to pass on some of the life lessons that I have learned over the years. Most importantly, I hope to share the lesson that stress management is a skill that can refined through practice. I hope to support my students I to help find routines that reduce stress and make life more enjoyable.
