Hi! I’m Carmen! I am the Coach Coordinator at Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education from the University of St. Thomas. I am dual certified in Early Childhood through 6th grade as well as Special Education through High School.
I have seven years of experience as both a classroom teacher and a private tutor. In my journey in the field of education, I find that an essential part of helping students is building a relationship with them. When we make that connection, students feel safe to take risks and make mistakes, which is all a part of learning. I love that the coaches at SAOTG support students in a one-on-one environment to help them become well-rounded individuals. At the same time, I enjoy brainstorming and getting creative with the coaches to assist and foster student’s independence, confidence, and academic growth!
