Energetic, Supportive, Focused
Hi! I’m Petrolina! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in public health. I was also a collegiate women’s basketball player. I am excited to work with students and use my experiences in both my personal life and academics to impress upon students the importance of implementing executive functioning skills into their lives. I look forward to implementing the Staying Ahead of The Game program as I believe this helps not only with academic support, but also in developing habits and routines for success!
I enjoy working with students in a one-on-one setting to help guide them on their journey of personal growth. I believe it is important to build healthy relationships with the students and the families I work with, so that we can collectively work on empowering the students to take ownership of their experiences and creativity. My goal is to help facilitate student growth and maturation. I always strive to instill the importance of patience, daily gratitude, self-motivation, and strong work ethic, thus preparing students for success in all of their endeavors.
