Hi! I’m Rachel! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my bachelor’s degree in English Language Arts with a minor in Political Science from the University of North Texas, and my master’s degree in Professional Writing from New York University.
I bring teaching experience from public schools across Texas, where I’ve worked with a wide range of learners, including English language learners, AP and honors students, and students with learning differences. I hold certifications in Secondary Education (grades 7-12) and English as a Second Language through the Texas Education Agency.
I chose SAOTG because I believe every student benefits from learning essential life skills like organization and time management alongside academics. What I love most about coaching is helping students use their individual interests and experiences to unlock their full potential, both in and out of the classroom.
I hope to teach students how to identify their strengths and apply them in any situation, while also encouraging them to create systems that work uniquely for them. Success doesn’t come from fitting into a single mold, it comes from building strategies that align with who you are.
