Join us for an informative virtual session designed to help parents understand how standardized testing fits into today’s college admissions process and how to approach it strategically. We’ll break down the key differences between the SAT and ACT, when students typically take them, how scoring works, and what a smart testing timeline looks like for high school students. This session is the first step in building a thoughtful testing plan and is designed to give families the knowledge they need to start making informed decisions.
DIAGNOSTIC EXAM
Students who enroll for the SAT/ACT Prep will be asked to complete a diagnostic practice exam prior to beginning test prep. This exam provides a detailed analysis of a student’s strengths and areas for improvement, ensuring that the study plan focuses on content areas that will lead to the greatest score gains. SAOTG’s diagnostic test reports feature a unique PAR Time analysis, which helps students and their coaches evaluate the time spent on each question-both correct and incorrect. This cutting-edge time tracking ensures that students allocate their time efficiently across different question difficulties, helping to refine pacing strategies essential for test-day success.
INTERACTIVE STUDENT PORTAL AND COMPANION WORKBOOK
All students who enroll in SAOTG’s SAT/ACT Prep will receive access to the SAOTG test prep portal for one calendar year! The online portal serves as a central hub for both students and instructors, streamlining the learning experience and maximizing efficiency. Students can complete lessons and quizzes, watch video solutions, and flag problems for review. Instructors have powerful tools at their disposal, allowing them to assign workbook lessons, create custom quizzes, and analyze full-length test results with precision. The portal also provides detailed insights into performance and tracks key metrics for monitoring test prep progress. Full portal access and student learning templates will be provided to students and their families in a face-to-face introductory meeting with a member of our leadership team.
