Hi! I’m Shante! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Texas Southern University as well as a Masters in Early Childhood Education from Relay Graduate School of Education. I am certified to teach Early Childhood through 6th grade as well as Gifted and Talented. I have over 5 years of experience teaching many different grade levels. In that time, I have worked with students with learning differences such as dyslexia and ADHD. I also recognize that other factors, such as educational experiences, cultural backgrounds, interests and motivation, also affect a student’s learning needs. I believe that executive functioning skills are vital to a student’s success in and beyond the classroom. I enjoy working with students 1-on-1 and providing individualized support where they need it the most.
