Hi! I’m Shasta! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, with interdisciplinary studies in Sociology, Education, and African American Studies. I also studied Music Production and Public Relations through a program at NYU. With over a decade of experience as a Hip-Hop artist and educator, I’ve worked in classrooms, led youth workshops, and performed around the world. I love helping students realize their unique gifts and define success on their own terms.
