Hi! I’m Sonja! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree from Drury University in Springfield, Missouri, and hold a Texas Teaching Certificate for Grades 4-8 Core Subjects. I am also a trained Business Coach with experience encouraging both adults and young people to recognize their strengths, develop confidence, overcome obstacles, and grow with intention.
I chose SAOTG because I believe that “staying ahead” is a mindset, not just a position on the scoreboard. What I love most about coaching is seeing the transformation that happens when a student develops confidence and realizes, “Wait, I can do this.” I hope to teach my students that growth matters more than perfection, obstacles can be overcome, and they always have the ability to learn, grow, and become who they were created to be.
