Hi! I’m Taskawana, though most people call me Tas! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I am currently pursuing my Doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction at Tennessee State University and hold two Master of Education degrees from Lamar University in Educational Administration and Digital Learning & Leading, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology. I also hold multiple educational leadership and teaching certifications and have nine years of experience in education. Today, I serve as an educational consultant for school districts across the Houston area and write English Language Arts curriculum as a freelance curriculum developer. I chose SAOTG because of its incredible culture and shared commitment to being champions for children. I love celebrating every student’s progress, whether it’s a small breakthrough or a major accomplishment, and helping them build skills that will serve them for life. My goal is to help students understand that growth comes through consistency, self-awareness, and believing they are capable of becoming better each day.
