Hi! I’m Tatania! I am an Academic Coach for Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I have a bachelor’s degree in sociology from St. Joseph’s College. I also have a master’s degree in criminal justice from John Jay College of Criminal Justice. I was a corp member for Teach for America Houston. I have had several years of teaching experience, and I am a certified teacher in Texas. I have taught Math Intervention for two years alongside teaching General Education Math. Math Intervention mainly consists of students with learning disabilities and/or IEP. I currently teach high school math. I enjoy implementing the Staying Ahead of the Game program because it looks at a student holistically. I enjoy having the opportunity to go beyond traditional subject tutoring to help a student reach their full potential both in and out of the classroom.
