Hi! I’m Tommy! I’m an Academic Coach with Staying Ahead of the Game LLC. I’m currently pursuing my undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Houston. I also have over 6 years of experience tutoring K-12 students and SAT/ACT prep, both virtually and in-person.
What drew me to SAOTG is the opportunity to do more than help students pass a test or finish an assignment. I want to prepare them for the next steps in their lives, equipping them with the skills, strategies, and confidence they need to succeed in any venture. I see coaching as a mix of mentor, role model, and cheerleader. As an older sibling, I’ve naturally stepped into those roles before, and now I get to do it in a professional way-helping students stay motivated, persistent, and confident in their abilities.
